Why Stepin?

Because the hardest part of cancer work in Ghana is not clinical — it is reaching people before they are very ill, and getting them into the system once they decide to act. That is community work, and it needs an organisation that communities actually trust.

  • Rooted locally. Based in Takoradi, working across the Western Region, in the languages people speak.
  • Aligned to the health system. We work through the Ghana Health Service and clinical partners, never around them.
  • Clinically grounded. Founded and led by an oncology nurse specialist.
  • Evidence-first. Every claim sourced; every programme measured; results published including failures.
  • Openly planned. Our full 2027–2029 roadmap is published, so you can see where we are going before you commit.
