These figures are drawn directly from Stepin’s verified activity records. Where a record does not exist, the figure is not estimated — it is shown as still being established. We would rather publish an honest gap than a flattering guess.
Monitoring & evaluation
How Stepin measures whether any of this worked.
Most organisations report activity — sessions held, people reached, photographs taken. Far fewer report outcomes. This is the chain Stepin measures along, and we publish at every link.
Inputs
What goes in: funding, staff time, volunteer hours, materials, partner contributions.
Activities
What we do: education sessions, campaigns, champion training, referrals, navigation and support contacts.
Outputs
What that produced: women reached, communities reached, sessions delivered, champions trained, materials distributed.
Outcomes
What changed for people: knowledge gained, screening attended, referrals completed, treatment continued.
Impact
What changed in the end: stage at presentation over time, community attitudes, health-system engagement.

Three commitments about our reporting
- We publish the method, not just the number. How a figure was counted matters as much as the figure.
- We publish what did not work. An organisation that only reports success is not reporting.
- We report back to communities. The people who took part see the results, not only the funders.
Stepin’s first full annual impact report is scheduled for December 2027, covering the Pilot & Prove year.
